RB Object Library Extensions

The base object library which comes with RB contains many useful objects, but of course there is more. Maybe you are searching for special objects before creating them for yourself. The following list may be incomplete, but it gives you many links to object library extensions made by different authors. Just unzip downloaded archives to an appropriate subfolder of your RouteBuilder\lib directory. Please note that most of these links point to different servers, so there's not much we can do if a download doesn't work. If you made an own object library extension package, please contact us and we will add a link provided that your objects have the correct header information (see below).

How to create proper RB library objects and header information

- Your objects have to be in b3d format.
- If you use existing RB base library textures, don't include the bmps but refer to them, i.e. load ..\grounds\grass3.bmp
- Don't make your bitmaps too big.
- Your objects have to contain three lines like follows (of course without []):
;author=[author name]
;description=[brief description of the object]
;copyright=RouteBuilder object library license
or
;copyright=OpenSource

By submitting a link to such an object package, you state that it is your own work or you have the permission by the author to do so, and that you either accept the RB object library license which allows any RB user to use or copy and modify your object or make it OpenSource which means that the object may also be used in that way, but it can also be used in any BVE route, not only RB routes, and modifications have to be published again as OpenSource.
